How borrowing works

All WR students must use their student IDs to check out materials.

This means that without written permission from the cardholder, library staff cannot share any information about the record with any other person. Please speak to the library staff for more information.

Loan periods

Textbooks

No late fee if returned at the end of the school year.

Class Novels

No late fees if returned by the end of the quarter in which the book was read. (When the teacher requires the whole class to read the same novel.)

Library Books

15 school days. Unlimited renewals. If another patron has placed a hold on the book, renewals are capped at 3.

*You can have up to 5 library books on your student account at one time.

How to renew

Bring your books to the library and have library staff scan and stamp them. A renewal must occur before day 15 to avoid late fees.

Fees & replacements

Overdue Fines

$0.15 per school day per book. Maximum charge of $10.00 per item.

Lost Items

Pay the replacement cost OR bring a replacement copy. Replacement copies must have the same ISBN and be in great condition (no writing, ripped pages, or water damage).

Pay Outstanding Fees

Pay overdue fines, supply costs, or printing fees online through the ASB Webstore. Use the "Library Book Delinquency" category, enter the dollar amount, and enter the student's name.

Open ASB Webstore

Patrons and parents are notified of late fees through email and paper slips delivered monthly.

Why we charge late fees

We encourage students to be responsible and accountable for their actions. If a student chooses to borrow a book, we encourage them to actively track the due date and make a plan to renew or return the book on time. All paid fees are used to maintain and grow the library's collection so that every student has access to great books and resources.
